Verteil Technologies announces the first-ever direct connect booking in Japan using Verteil’s NDC aggregator platform, Verteil Direct Connect (VDC). It has partnered with F-ness which is a major travel services group based in Tokyo. F-ness issued the first NDC ticket on Lufthansa Airlines powered by Verteil Direct Connect.
VDC platform is built on IATA’s NDC (New Distribution Capability) standard and seamlessly connected to IATA Financial Gateway (IFG). VDC platform offers agents like F-ness, a new direct channel to access the vast range of products and services made available by the airline for the travellers in Japan.
IATA’s vision for NDC and the goal of Verteil is to unlock the full value of NDC and make it available to the indirect airline sales channels in Japan. Their partner agents to will be able to shop, book and fulfil offers.
Jerrin Jos, Founder & CEO, Verteil Technologies said, “Japan is a critical market for Verteil and this announcement allows us to now accelerate NDC ticketing in Japan. We expect to onboard many IATA agents in Japan in 2019 and to industrialize and scale NDC in Japan”.
They have received positive feedback from F-ness on VDC and they look forward to take the partnership to new heights in 2019 and beyond.
