Bell, a Textron Inc. company, declared on May 13th that Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company (VNH North), a subsidiary of state-owned helicopter operator Vietnam Helicopter Corporation, has introduced helicopter tourism flights with the Bell 505 in Vietnam’s iconic Ha Long Bay for the first time.
Vietnam Helicopter Corporation and VNH North functions a fleet of modern helicopters offering utility and transport services across numerous industries like oil-and-gas, tourism, air ambulance, search-and-rescue and VIP transportation. The company is all set to provide point to point transfers from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay, charter flights, wedding photography, and aerial surveys with the Bell 505 helicopters.
“We are proud to be part of this historic milestone for Vietnam,” said David Sale, Bell’s managing director, Asia Pacific. “The Bell 505 is a great aircraft for tourism and is already flying tourists in Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, and now Vietnam.”
Also, VNH North has selected to go for Bell’s Customer Advantage Plans (CAP). For their day to day operations, CAP offers customers with complete coverage solutions. The plans offer a fixed cost-per-flight-hour service option that protect the budget of the customers as well as their aircraft and boosts up aircraft availability at rates competitive to published direct maintenance costs.
With a speed of 125 knots (232 kilometers per hour) and useful load of 1,500 pounds (680 kilograms), the Bell 505 is designed to stay protected and easy to fly as providing significant value to the operator.
