Vietnam lengthened its visa waiver scheme

Vietnam Tourism AssociationThe measure, in July 2015 first launched which indicates UK passport holders can now on make single entry visits for at a stretch 15 days without purchasing a visa until June 30 2018.

 
French, German, Spanish and Italian nationals also falls under the waiver programme. The Vietnamese government introduced the scheme in order to bolster tourism.

 
It has firm evidence that the scheme has worked successfully. More than five million people visited the country in the initial five months of 2017, a year-on-year increase of 26.8% respectively. According to the World Travel & Tourism Council, Travel and tourism at present accounts for 4.6% of Vietnam’s GDP, which estimates that this figure will rise sharply to 7.5% this year?
