Vietnam recognizes hi-tech tourism

VietnamThe Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group or VNPT along with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism also known as VNAT have jointly agreed to endorse smart tourism!

On this pretext, they signed an all-inclusive co-operation agreement in Hà Nội on Wednesday.

The two sides of this three-year agreement would support each other in their promotion and development. They would develop suitable co-operation programs on a yearly basis to promote the tourism sector of the country to local and foreign visitors with the help of modern IT solutions and services.

VNPT would ask and co-operate with VNAT in order to create a master IT application plan for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in tourism and build a development plan in terms of smart tourism.

Besides, the two sides would develop an IT management system that would connect and receive information from different localities in developing tourism. Digital products would be developed to serve the visitors and endorse tourism via e-marketing.

While delivering a speech at the signing ceremony, Phạm Đức Long, VNPT’s general director, explained that the group has a collaboration with 52 cities along with provinces, 10 ministries, IT applications in management and to provide smart IT applications.

“The tourism sector has been one of our most important customers. Currently, VNPT has been leading in launching smart city solutions for 15 cities and provinces nationwide, including big localities such Hà Nội and HCM City,” Long said.

  1. great article and a very smart move to me any way tohelp promote tourism is a big plus I feel that Iam doing my share with my Vietnam Wine Tours for Vietnam.
