While talking about the event, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien said that it’s his faith that besides enhancing bilateral cultural and tourism relations, the festival will also enhance the strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and the RoK.
Also the official said that he expects that the number of Korean tourists to Vietnam will grow in the coming year.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen Vu Tu emphasized the successful political and cultural ties and similarities shared by the two nations have actually assisted in promoting business, cultural and tourism links.

On the event, Thien passed the responsibility to appoint Ly Xuong Can, a descendant of King Ly Thai To – the first king of the Ly dynasty (1010-1225), as tourism ambassador of Vietnam to the RoK for 2017-2020.
A formal dinner was arranged following the opening ceremony to recognize the 25th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (December 22).
On December 13, Thien talked with RoK Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Jong-hwan in Seoul.
The two sides decided to make stronger cultural, sport and tourism collaboration that would help to improve mutual understanding and friendship between their people.
The Korean side took a vow to share with Vietnam its experiences in genres of strength like archery, shooting, taekwondo and e-sports.
They decided to request their airlines to introduce more routes from the RoK to Vietnam tourist destinations and increase the frequency of flights, at the same time organize tourism promotion programs as well.
