Up till August 2017, Vietnam greeted more than 8.47 million overseas visitors which is an increase of 29.7 percent in comparison to the same time last year. Also, as confirmed by the VNA or the Vietnam News Agency, the country served over 52.8 million domestic tourists which helped in earning a total of 335.8 trillion VND (US$14.7 billion) of revenue.
This month alone, the country succeeded in luring over 1.2 million foreigners, which is a monthly growth of 18.5 percent respectively. Point to be noted that this year is the sixth time that Vietnamese tourism proved victorious in attracting above one million international tourists in a month.
Many promotion events tourism related have been introduced overseas like Australia and China by the tourism sector of the country. From Aug 28th till 30th, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism had organized a tourism promotion event in Cambodia.
Vietnam was positioned 10th in the list of promising destinations preferred by the visitors worldwide, as expressed in the recent report of the United Nations World Tourism Organization or UNWTO.
For the meantime, TripAdvisor, the world’s largest tourism website declared a list of ten most sought-after hotspots in Vietnam voted by tourists. Particularly, Quang Binh in the central province occupied the fourth spot in the list, behind Hoi An, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Quang Binh was explained as a haven for exploration and experiences with different tourism destinations and routes like Son Doong cave, Tu Lan cave system, Da Nhay beach and Phong Nha- Ke Bang cave, among others by the Tripadvisor.
