Several Americans had to combat the impacts of the celestial event through gigantic traffic jams and roadblocks as they travelled through the nation to get the best views, as it is the first one in America in 99 years.
But then 260 people received what arguably can be believed to be the best eclipse view in the world while they were flying with Virgin Atlantic over America.
The view from 35,000 feet in the air is completely unique way to watch and experience an eclipse live. The flight from London Heathrow to Miami offered those flying with an unsurpassed view. The passengers were even offered special eclipse glasses to protect their eyes as attempted to view the spectacular sight.
The flight also worked with the people onboard Wi-Fi to enable people flying to follow along and interact with everyone else across the world to share the great news.
Passengers were delighted at the lovely experience and some of them shared exciting posts about the viewing of the eclipse on different social networking sites. Virgin said that they collaborated with the pilots and air traffic control to track the eclipse for as long as possible offering customers one of the most beautiful views in the world.
The eclipse reached totality around 10.15 a.m. in Oregon.
Thereafter it transited across fourteen of the states in America towards the East Coast in South Carolina.
