Virgin Holidays will start selling the agreed pricing structure currently at 10 of the operator’s family friendly resort in the Caribbean. The families will be able to save upto £1,000.
Joe Thompson, managing director at Virgin Holidays that the lack of flexibility was a major reason for frustration in the travel industry for single-parent families.
He further mentioned that the company was trying to do its bit in helping the single-parents providing with the opportunity of exploring some of the most world renowned destinations.
Rosie Ferguson, chief executive of charity for single parents Gingerbread mentioned that in the current scenario families are available in different shapes and sizes, single parent families make up one in four families with children in the UK.
It has been observed that the single parents had been ‘priced out’ of family activities.
The new offers from Virgin Holidays will boost the value of single parent families and it is expected that other companies will follow them.
