Visit Orlando announces appointment of Micheal Waterman

 Industry veteran Michael Waterman has been appointed chief sales officer by Visit Orlando.

In the new role Waterman will oversee the travel industry and convention sales teams for the official tourism association of the most visited destination in the United States.

He will be reporting directly to Aguel and holds more than 30 years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing.

At Marriot International, Waterman served for 24 years in multiple sales and marketing leadership roles. In the most recent role he served as the president and chief executive of Visit Houston.

Aguel said that Mike is a well-respected industry leader with a wealth of experience and will be a phenomenal addition to their team.

Currently their destination is undergoing an extraordinary level of growth after the exciting expansion of their world-class convention centre, addition of hotels rooms and the announcement of the newest theme major theme park.

Waterman was  thrilled to join arguably one of the most respected, dynamic destination organisations in the world.

He  started his career in Orlando and knew it will feel like coming home.
