Welcoming the opportunity to partner with PCMA on a new and unique initiative, VisitBritain Head of Business Visits & Events Chris Foy said:
“As a world-leading events destination with global connections, there’s a natural fit for Britain to be aligned with this signature thought leadership session. We strongly value our alignment with PCMA and recognise how debates of this type can contribute to developing professionalism among event strategists. We are rightly proud of the high standards demonstrated by the UK event industry and confident in our ability to deliver world class business events. With global connections to great venues, a hub of leading international event professionals and world-renowned research in top universities and centres of excellence, Britain is a natural home for meetings of great minds”.
Deborah Sexton, President & CEO, PCMA said:
“Collaboration is a key theme for PCMA in our mission to help our members develop winning business strategies and benefit from unique learning experiences. So VisitBritain is a perfect partner for this new and exciting event at this year’s Convening Leaders. The session, moderated by Janet Tan-Collis, President of SACEOS and Chief Executive of East West Planners, headquartered in Singapore, will feature a debate between Nick de Bois, Chairman of the United Kingdom’s Events Industry Board and former Member of Parliament and David Wallace, COO at Austin based AngelouEconomics. I’m greatly looking forward to a lively debate and some incredible insights”.
VisitBritain is co-hosting the #Greatdebate as part of its wider campaign to inspire event organisers across the world to choose Britain as a destination for business events.
