Vistara, India’s fastest growing full service carrier welcomed its millionth customer onboard. In less than a year of its operation, Vistara has already won the hearts of many customers across India to become their airline of choice. Adopting the brand philosophies of customer-centricity and service excellence from Tata and Singapore Airlines, Vistara is appreciated for its personalized and intuitively thoughtful service. Through a slew of innovative and differentiated offerings, Vistara has demonstrated its unique value proposition to its customers. With 12 destinations, 311 weekly frequencies and the industry’s best OTP (>90% since launch), Vistara has set a new benchmark for seamless travel experience in the true sense. Reaching this momentous milestone in such a short span of time shows that Vistara has lived up to its brand promise and exuded an elegant, refined spiritedness reflective of a service experience that is authentic and designed meticulously.
Having started operation with its maiden flight on January 9, 2015, Vistara has grown its fleet and expanded its network across India, leading to a swift increase in weekly frequencies. Catering to the growing demand, Vistara has recently increased the frequency between New Delhi and Mumbai from six to eight flights a day.
Through the auto check-in process, the millionth customer of Vistara was identified. Mr. Biplove Choudhary, who happened to be the special customer received a warm welcome by Vistara crew at Delhi International airport. He was escorted right from the airport entrance to the check-in counter. Originally booked to travel on Vistara’s Economy Class from Delhi to Mumbai, Mr. Choudhary was pleasantly surprised by a courtesy upgrade to Business Class. He was also felicitated by CEO of Vistara with a complimentary Club Vistara Gold membership. To celebrate the occasion, all passengers flying on 23rd December with the airline are receiving a complimentary Premium Economy upgrade voucher redeemable on a future flight. A specially designed baggage tag marking the milestone is also being presented to all customers.
Conveying his excitement on being the millionth customer, Mr. Biplove Choudhary, said, “I am a frequent traveler and this was supposed to be another business trip until I realized I was Vistara’s millionth customer. I am very honoured and pleased to be a part of Vistara’s celebrations. Vistara transformed my routine travel into a memorable one and the entire staff made me feel very special. From the warm reception at the airport, I was pampered throughout the journey to my destination, Mumbai. Vistara is definitely my preferred choice of travel in India.”

In 2016, there will be an addition of four more aircraft to the current fleet of nine, leading to the introduction of new destinations and increased frequencies to the existing network offering more choices of departure and arrival to Vistara customers. New strategic partnerships with airline and non-airline brands are in the pipeline which will further strengthen Vistara’s value proposition for its FFP (Club Vistara) members. The integration of the most advanced IFE system, that enables inflight wireless streaming of highly engaging audio video content across all three cabins, will be completed by early next year. The coming months will also witness the launch of Vistara’s signature lounge at T3 at the IGI Airport in Delhi.
