Vizag tourist flow is posing environmental problems

Tourist inflow is threatening the environment in Vishakhapatnam. With more and more tourists visiting the city in the last few years, it is posing a threat to the wellbeing of the city with increasing pollution. Lack of proper waste segregation mechanism in the coastal city has the chances of ruining it in the years to come. Visakhapatnam beaches, which have been the most favorite tourist spots, are also becoming dirty due to release of drain water and plastic waste into the sea. While Vizag has a lot of potential for surfing, environmental issues are slowly lessening the possibility of water sports activities.
