When asked how does he sees Vythiri Village emerging as a leading Meeting Destination, he replied by saying Vythiri Village is the largest inventory in Wayanad. Additionally, MICE tourism has gained momentum in Wayanad as huge number of corporate travelers visits this place for conferencing and meetings every year. In the coming days Vythiri Village resort will add another 200 rooms to house large groups of corporate travelers.
He was also asked that what needs to be done from the perspective of the Government to reinforce Kerala as a brand. He said that Kerala has always been a top priority for inbound travelers worldwide. Though, the northern portion needs further promotion. Various road shows, publishing travel write-ups in leading magazines and other such promotional campaigns are being done to promote the culture and tradition of this land.
He was asked that North Kerala is yet to be cultivated into one of Kerala’s key attractions. What marketing assistance should Kerala Tourism enforce to help this part of the state?? In return he said that Government of Kerala is emphasizing Wayanad as a major hotspot.
Besides, close tie-ups with international airlines, promotional campaigns like ‘Malabar travel-Mart’ and bringing tour operators across the country are some of the measures that Government has taken.
