Approximately 70 Irish tourism businesses along with the Trident Hotel in Kinsale, Acton’s Hotel in Kinsale and the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery, partnered with Tourism Ireland at World Travel Market last week in London. WTM heralds the commencement of the promotional drive overseas for Ireland for the upcoming 2018 season.
In the last three days, Irish companies associated in thousands of meetings with British and international tour operators to discuss and swap over vital contracts for 2018.
Organizers estimation shows that last year’s event did around €3.4bn worth business.
Country’s strong presence at WTM is chiefly significant this year and with Brexit followed by its implications for Irish tourism, in 2018 and beyond.
With over 182 countries and regions all keen to acquire business at WTM, Tourism Ireland targeted to stand out from the crowd and seize the attention of the media and travel professionals worldwide. Tourism Ireland – working in collaboration with Fáilte Ireland and industry partners showcased unique offerings of Ireland for probable visitors including from Ancient East and the Wild Atlantic Way which includes West Cork.
