To attract more visitors and market Canada aggressively, Destination Canada and WestJet announced their global partnership today. To quote Honorable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, ‘I’ve had the privilege to meet many amazing tourism business owners from coast to coast to coast.
These hard-working Canadians shape our thriving tourism industry and help make us a top destination in the world. Partnerships like the one announced today, will help welcome even more travelers to Canada, so they can enjoy the world-class tourism experiences our country offers.’
David Goldstein, Destination Canada’s President and CEO said that more than 20 million visitors traveled to Canada in 2016. To quote him, ‘We’re excited to work with WestJet to build on this success and expand our joint marketing efforts.’ To quote Gregg Saretsky, WestJet President and CEO, ‘WestJet is strategically expanding its network to more international destinations.
We look forward to working with Destination Canada to bring more travelers to visit our great country on Canada’s low fare leader.’ This beneficial collaboration that took place between Destination Canada and WestJet is aimed to align marketing strategies in various shared international markets.
