The 3rd annual Westlake Village Concours D’ Elegance will be held at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village. Owner of Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village David Murdock co-hosts the event, which will take place at the Five Diamond Hotel. Historic and celebrity cars, as well as Pebble Beach Concours winners, will be showcased. The 2016 Concours celebrates the finale of Downton Abbey, and guests are encouraged to don their most dapper vintage dress for the garden party with English High Tea and award-winning jazz music.
One of the highlights of the show is a 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, valued at USD 17 million. This particular example was the Turin show car in 1961 and has several unique features. The newly remodeled Petersen Museum will show their historic 1953 Cadillac Series 62 by Ghia, which was a gift from Prince Ali Khan, the world’s wealthiest man at the time, to actress Rita Hayworth. It is one of only two built by Ghia and combines the exotic looks of an Italian body shape paried with powerful Cadillac running gear.
To compliment the Golden Age of Motoring, performances will include the Russell Ferrante Trio featuring Bob Mintzer. Multi-Grammy Award winning artists, with a combined 34 nominations, Russell Ferrante and Bob Mintzer are revered at universities around the world where their composition and performance are part of the musical curriculum.
Concours D’ Elegance will be held at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Tickets are available for USD 150 and include viewing of all automobiles, jazz music performances, English High Tea, champagne, access to various food vendors and complimentary self-parking. The Westlake Village Concours supports The Petersen Museum, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to the continuing restoration and preservation of classic and historic automobiles.
