Wire damage causes disruption in East Coast main line, several passengers stranded

Travellers are urged not to travel today as the East Coast main line has come to a halt. Between Grantham and Newark North Gate there were damages to the overhead electric wires intending that no electric trains will be able to run on the major section of the East Coast main line.

 

 

There has been cancellation  and delays by up to 90 minutes on the link from from London King’s Cross to Yorkshire, Newcastle and Scotland.

 

 

In the route from Leeds to King’s Cross the train arrived 45 minutes late while the next four trains on the route were all cancelled.

 

 

There were delays by 85 minutes for a train from London to Newcastle  while there were delays by 90 minutes for another to York.

 

 

Passengers have been advised by LNER, the main operator on the line not to travel today as there might be cancellation or delays by up to 90 minutes.

 

 

There will be diversion in some diesel trains  via Gainsborough one should prepare for an extended journey time.The customers having today’s ticket can use it tomorrow Wednesday July 24.

 

The West Coast main line between London Euston and Glasgow or Edinburgh can passengers between London and Scotland.

 

 

East Midlands trains from London St.Pancras via Sheffield can be availed by travellers to Leeds.
