According to various media reports and videos shared online, showed her being escorted off the flight after sharing her views about a fellow passenger’s support of Donald Trump.
The woman told a flight attendant that she would like the man next to her to change seats, seemingly because of his support of Donald Trump.
Following the woman’s rant, the airline staff told the woman that she would have to be removed from the plane.
The woman said she was sorry and she would be quiet, and that she was travelling with her husband because his mother had died, but this didn’t work.
Alaska Airlines officials were forced to call the police, who boarded the plane and took control of the situation. Maryland Transportation Authority Police Lt. Kevin Ayd told the media that the woman and her husband were removed from the plane at 5.30 p.m. local time Saturday night.
The couple was not charged with any crimes, and Alaska Airlines issued them a full refund for their missed flight. A spokesperson for the airline said the couple would be allowed to book Alaska Airlines flights in the future.
