The 26th World Route Development Forum is scheduled to take place on September 5-8th 2020 and Milan will be the hosting it after undergoing a competitive selection process.
The bid was won by Milano Malpensa and Milano Linate airports on behalf of Milan and the Lombardy region.The different aviation markets is highlighted in World Routes that keeps moving from city to city and is the ultimate event for airlines, airports, tourism officials and suppliers.
There will be unprecedented opportunities for senior decision makers in the three-day event to further discuss air services, develop and plan new strategies.
Lombardy region is the third most populated region of Europe having ten million inhabitants being serviced by three airports – Malpensa, Linate and Orio al Serio.
These airports had earlier welcomed 39 million passengers every year and was responsible for Milan’s status as a cutting-edge international metropolis.
Steven Small, brand director for Routes said that SEA further aims to connect the city to the world majorly to Asia and the Americas. Hosting the 26th World Routes will be a great exposure.
