According to Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), guests and visitors at the World Tourism Day (WTD) celebrations in Doha are expected to have “a memorable and authentic Qatari experience” along with support from Katara Hospitality.
Named as the hospitality partner for the WTD celebrations, Katara Hospitality has a portfolio of 42 hotels spread across three continents in Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Singapore and Thailand.
QTA’s chief tourism development officer Hassan al-Ibrahim said in a statement, “The support of Qatar’s foremost hospitality stakeholder to the World Tourism Day celebrations demonstrates their commitment to developing a sustainable and vibrant tourism industry in Qatar.”
The WTD celebrations in September would be held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
According to QTA, WTD is expected to gather hundreds of tourism industry stakeholders from around the world at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel for exploring tourism’s role in sustainable development.
