Known as the “Davos Forum of World Tourism”, the World Tourism Forum Global Meeting brings together eminent names in the tourism sector, and the event starts today at the Istanbul Congress Center. This two-day event of global stature will host nearly 150 speakers from over 20 countries along with top executives from world’s leading tourism companies, tourism investors, public organizations, academics, technology experts, political authorities, non-governmental organizations and Turkish and international tourism authorities.
This forum is a global platform where renowned international tourism experts can share their visions with Turkish professionals and boost tourism potentials, contributing to the national economy. The forum is expected to provide the necessary momentum to Turkish tourism to move to the global stage.
Eminent speakers will be speaking at the event. Held under the sponsorship of the Turkish Presidency, the theme of the World Tourism Forum Global Meeting 2017 is “Boundaries as Barriers: Smooth and Secure Travel.” The World Tourism Forum Awards, the most esteemed reward in the tourism industry and considered to be the Oscar of world tourism, will be held at Çırağan Palace Kempinski tomorrow.
