Visit South Australia during the Credit Union Christmas Pageant
Little Red Riding Hood and Rudolph’s Christmas Lolly Trolley were the two magical new floats unveiled today as the countdown begins to the 2013 Credit Union Christmas Pageant on Saturday 9 November.
Rodney Harrex, Chief Executive, South Australian Tourism Commission welcomed everybody to the 2013 Credit Union Christmas Pageant event launch and thanked key event partners and volunteers.
In 2013 the Pageant will be travelling a slightly different route around Victoria Square due to the current redevelopment. Event organisers encourage pageant-goers to study the route map carefully.
The Credit Union Christmas Pageant is owned and managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission on behalf of the South Australian Government and sponsored by People’s Choice Credit Union, Beyond Bank Australia, Credit Union SA and Police Credit Union.
46th Annual Frontier Christmas, Dec. 7th and 8th, 2013
One of Kentucky’s oldest festivals where tradition is expected in an American village that dates back 227 years.
It has become a tradition in many families, dating back to their parents and grandparents, to get in the holiday spirit by attending Frontier Christmas, always held the first weekend in December in Washington, Kentucky, a village that celebrates Christmas to the fullest and has endured the test of time (now part of Maysville).

Many professional groups with traditional Christmas renditions will provide the musical entertainment in the 1848 Old Church Museum both days. Christmas comes early for rail passengers set to save Millions
Britons could cut over £9 million off the cost of travelling to see friends, family and loved ones this Christmas by using a Railcard and by snapping up cheap Advance tickets that start to go on sale from this week, rail companies say.
By planning ahead for the festive getaway, hundreds of thousands of people including students, families and the over 60s are expected to cut the cost of Christmas by using Railcards to get a third off most train tickets.
The National Rail Enquiries website, nationalrail.co.uk, includes a Cheapest Fare Finder tool, which offers a cheaper alternative route to the journey requested if one is available. Being flexible on the days and times of travel often means people can find a cheaper ticket.
