World Travel Mart begins in London

wtm-london-2016The 37th edition of the World Tourism Fair (World Travel Market-WTM) began today in London with a strong presence of delegations from Latin America and Spain, according to its organizers.


Scheduled to go on until November 9, experts believe that this is one of the most outstanding events along with ITB in Berlin and FITUR in Spain. The organizers added that Spain and Latin America were leaders in terms of attracting tourists.

This event is expected to garner business worth $3.6 billion.

One of the directors of the event, Simon Press, said the WTM has been in this business for the past four decades where the tourism sector conducted its business and attracted leading buyers looking for new contracts.

It is expected that business worth around $22.7 billion could take place at the fair where about 865,000 business meetings would be held. Around 50,000 visitors are expected to visit the fair.
