World Travel Market Latin America 2017 was a success with more than 7,000 unique travel trade attendees, a 20% increase on 2016, and the highest number of travel professionals, government official and media in the event’s fifth edition reinforcing its position as the leading travel event in the Latin American travel industry.
Amongst the thousands of visitors that flooded in, more than 1,000 buyers and hosted buyers from Brazil, Latin America and rest of the world negotiated business deals, made new and qualitative contacts as well as interacted with the variety of destinations, service providers and product managers on the exhibition floor.
Furthermore, more than 600 of the world’s media were in attendance – the highest number of all editions – a 30% increase on 2016. In total the event attracted almost 10,000 (9,864) participants, including visitants, media and exhibitors.
WTM Latin America 2017, the event which brings the world to Latin America and promotes Latin America to the world is expected to generate more than 2016’s business figures of US$ 370 million in industry deals being negotiated and signed. Audited figures will be available in June.
