The USA Niagara Development Corp. board of directors approved the payment.
Until last year, Wyndham Garden Inn in downtown Niagara Falls at 443 Main St. was a 168-room Days Inn. The owners, NFNY Hotel Management, rebranded it. They remodeled rooms, added 20 luxury rooms and renovated the 6,500-square-foot restaurant and bar, renaming it Chill 443.
The project of Wyndham Garden Inn in downtown Niagara Falls added the equivalent of 35 full-time jobs to the hotel’s previous workforce of 65.
NFNY, owned by the DiCienzo family, also owns the Sheraton Niagara Falls Hotel on Third Street. USA Niagara previously granted NFNY $600,000 for the addition of the Rainforest Café and a TGI Fridays at the Sheraton.
