Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with nearly 8,000 hotels across 16 iconic brands in 73 countries, announces two key appointments in the Eurasia region. Rahool Macarius joins as Director of Global and National Sales, Eurasia and Ruchika Kakar comes on board as Regional Marketing Manager, Eurasia.Both Macarius and Kakar will be based out of Gurgaon, providing further impetus and direction to developing and expanding the brand across Eurasia.

We are thrilled to have Ruchika and Rahool join us, and look forward to using their expertise to support the existing Wyndham Hotel Group’s franchise partners in Eurasia,” said Deepika Arora, Regional Vice President, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotel Group.
Macarius joins Wyndham Hotel Group from the Lemon Tree Hotel Group where he held the position of Assistant Vice President, Sales. Macarius handled corporate business on a national level for Lemon Tree, one of the fastest growing companies in upscale mid-market hotels. With close to 20 years of experience, Macarius has also worked with Intercontinental Hotels Group and ITC Hotels. Armed with the attitude of leading from the front, Macarius will be responsible for driving sales and revenues through building strategic partnerships in the region.
Kakar brings more than 15 years’ experience in branding and marketing communication. Prior to joining Wyndham, she served as Marketing Services Manager with Fortune Hotels and played a key role in the company’s journey to become a full service business hotel chain in India. Apart from steering branding and marketing for Fortune, Kakar also delved into other tasks, widening her knowledge and understanding of how other departments function. In her role as Regional Marketing Manager, Kakar will oversee development of integrated marketing strategy for the Wyndham Hotel Group’s loyalty program as well as brands. She will also be the marketing interface for the group’s hotels in the region.
