‘Yalla Kerala’ Campaign will be to attract the Arabian tourists

22ki touristbwKerala Tourism has its master plan to promote the “God’s Own Country” in different Arabian cities to attracts more Arabian travellers. This initiative is taken after the successful promotion in the streets of Dubai by delivering the ads on the taxis.

 

 

Kerala Tourism has launched an ‘Yalla Kerala’ campaign in key West Asian markets to draw Arab tourists to the state.

 

 

This campaign of Kerala Tourism will take more than Rs 7 crore to allure the Saudi tourists, as the Saudi market is emerging in West Asian countries like Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.

 

 

Kerala tourism is highlighting the proximity, “just four hours away” by flight to the three international airports.

 

 

The Kerala Tourism Board shows in the busy airports of Dubai and Saudi Arabia by displaying the rich greenery, beautiful landscapes, natural attractions like backwaters and hill stations and art forms.

 

 

In-flight and travel magazines, television and radio in Dubai and Saudi Arabia are being used to woo tourists under ‘Yalla Kerala’ (Yalla in Arabic language means let’s go).

 

 

The God’s Own Country- Kerala is portrays itself as a “friendly destination” to the Arab tourists in the aggressive campaign as monsoon, ayurveda, health and wellness holidays, historical connections and cultural empathies along with good connectivity have already been attracting Arab tourists in large numbers forcing Kerala to concentrate on West Asia.

 

 

The international visits in Kerala had quadrupled in the last 20 years and the prospects remain positive for the tourism and the travel sector, despite the negative impact of the socio-political unrest in West Asia. The international tourist arrivals to Kerala from the six nations have shown a growth in the range of 42.54 percent to 169.05 percent in 2016.

 

 

Director of Tourism, P. Bala Kiran said that the significant hunk of the marketing fund used in view the increase of Arabian footfalls in the promotional campaigns which involves in online TV and print.

 

 

The stakeholders of Kerala Tourism, who are associated with the travel trade had joined hands to allure and make an ease on the Arab tourists to Kerala during the off times by participating in the four-day Arab Travel Market in Dubai this year.
