U.K based hotel group, YOTEL is taking forward its plans to open a brand new property in Washington D.C this autumn. The property will be the first-ever acquisition and transition hotel from the company. The multi-million dollar reconstruction of the hotel will incorporate signature technology and adaptable designs.

The transition is set to commence this spring and will include full modernization and transformation of the hotel rooms into signature YOTEL cabins. During the phase of transition, the hotel will remain open for guest. Throughout the transition period, the hotel will continue to offer guests convenient access to Capitol Hill and Union Station transit hub. The lobby area will be transformed into the brand’s staple Mission Control area equipped with airline-style check-in kiosks. This will provide the guests with a much smarter and more efficient travel experience.

The hotel will also feature more than 21,000 square of flexible events and meetings space. The private rooms and conference areas will be designed with technological enhancements to offer guests a more connected experience.

In addition, the hotel comes with an Art & Soul restaurant that is highly regarded as the Capitol Hill staple for its authentic cuisine inspired by the very region. The restaurant space and signature dishes will undergo a transformation from scratch and evolve under the direction of Chef Douglas Alexander.

Shawn Jervis, General Manager, YOTEL Hotels said in a press statement that the hotel is at the forefront of innovation, hospitality and design. He mentioned that the company is looking forward to showing visitors a new way to reside on Capitol Hill.

At present, the hotel is completely functional and already began accepting reservations for all type of rooms. The restaurant is also currently active. The rooftop pool and bar will be reopening this summer and post the post season space will be transitioned into a Sky Bar.
