Zambia Tourism Agency formerly known as Zambia Tourism Board (ZTB) entered the Indian market in 2013 and appointment Blue Square Consultants as its India Representative. On the occasion of the roadshow, Mr Felix Chaila, CEO, Zambia Tourism Agency said, “Zambia witnessed an increase of 30 per cent in Indian arrivals in 2015 over 2014. This increase has led us to believe in India as an emerging source market with high potential. We had earlier participated in trade fairs in India. These roadshows mark the beginning of our aggressive approach to increase tourist arrivals from India which is our fastest growing market in Asia.”
Zambia has started offering online visa to Indian citizens through the website: evisa.zambiaimmigration.gov.zm, which takes a processing time of three working days. Additionally, Indian travellers no longer need a yellow fever vaccination certificate to travel to Zambia.
“Zambia is one of Africa’s friendliest and safest countries with unique tourism products and a happening nightlife. Zambia’s tourist offerings include the Victoria Falls, adventure activities, wildlife safaris and national parks. It is the new face of Africa.” added Chaila.
