In an exclusive interview with our editor-in-chief at TIS-Tourism Innovation Summit, Gregorio Núñez, Director de Desarrollo de Negocio, Profit room shares his experiences and opinions with Travel and Tour World about his consolidated track record in the travel industry.

TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit 2022 has brought together more than 6,000 professionals from the tourism sector in Seville, together with more than 400 international speakers to delve into the strategies that will mark the future of an industry that is an economic and employment driver in the world economy.

In addition, more than 150 exhibiting firms such as Accenture, Amadeus, CaixaBank, City Sightseeing Worldwide, The Data Appeal Company, EY, Mabrian, MasterCard, Telefónica Empresas, Convertix, Keytel, PastView and Turijobs presented their latest solutions in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Big Data & Analytics, Marketing Automation, contactless technology and Predictive Analytics, among others, for the tourism sector.

TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit 2022 is the global summit of technology and innovation dedicated to the travel and tourism industry. This travel technology event has celebrated its third edition in Seville (Spain) and has brought together international consultancy firms in the tourism, hospitality and travel technology sectors to analyse the major trends that are transforming the tourism and its allied sector.

Travel And Tour World: What is Profitroom? Do this hotel technology software have solution in the B2B or is it just that customers can directly book their rooms?

Gregorio Núñez: Profitroom offers a technology that helps hotels to increase their own revenue. It is more about combustion on the website. The Proftroom specialise in direct booking. So, this is for final clients.

 

Travel And Tour World: So, you are a booking engine for the hotels and customers can go to hotel booking engine and book their room?

Gregorio Núñez: Yes, we are basically a suite of products and all of them are connected. The main part is the booking engine which is connected to channel manager. This is our own technology dedicated to travel and tourism industry. We also provide websites that we have templates of. We combine all with SEO- a tool that connects you with clients. We are able to promote your website among all the places in the internet.

Travel And Tour World: What is the unique selling product for Proftroom?

Gregorio Núñez: Though we have a few of them, yet we are making something different among our competitors. The Proftroom is a technological partner not because we just providing the technology. We don’t produce half their technology; we also make plans extra digital together with our clients.

Travel And Tour World: As you name it Profitroom, how does it profit in terms of hotel booking?

Gregorio Núñez: If you go to Business to Customer channel, the hotels inaugurate may be 20%. While working with our tools, you can reduce this margin. The margin we are working is below 10%.

Travel And Tour World: So, do you think this is profitable for customers directly?

Gregorio Núñez: Yes, certainly this is profitable for customers because we are in direct contact with booking. If you are booking through any other portals, you have to go through a third party.

Travel And Tour World: What is the main market for Profitroom?

Gregorio Núñez: We are from Poland and it is our main market. This powerful marketing automation tool with advanced channel manager and website builder is already there for 15 years. Also we have our markets in Germany, Czech Republic and 30 other European countries. Besides, new markets of this powerful marketing automation tool with advanced channel manager and website builder are in Latin America and South Africa.

Travel And Tour World: Do you have any plan to build Profitroom’s market in Asia or Middle East?
Gregorio Núñez: Asia is always big continent to spread the market in travel technology sector. Though we do not have it in our roadmap for the next year, but may be sometimes in future, we will expand to the Asian and Middle East countries.
