Travel And Tour World: How do you think India will catalyse Thailand’s tourism recovery?

Siriges-A-Nong Trirattanasongpol: Well, India is our primary and secondary country as far as tourists are concerned. Since 2019, Thailand has welcomed about 1.96 million Indian tourists to Thailand. That’s why India is our important tourism market.

Travel And Tour World: Tell us something about TAT’s plans to boost Thailand’s tourism economy?

Siriges-A-Nong Trirattanasongpol: India is one of our biggest sources of revenue especially from overseas travellers. It can claim about 20% of the GDP and that’s why it is so important for us. After COVID-19, we want to boost up Thailand tourism to the overseas travellers. How we do it is the question at the moment. We would promote expense based tourism in Thailand.

Travel And Tour World: What are your plans to create meaningful travel experience for global tourists?

Siriges-A-Nong Trirattanasongpol: You can see here in the event we are providing 5 types of power- food, fight, trip, fashion and festival. This is meant to introduce you to meaningful travel. We are introducing not only Thailand’s local cuisine but international cuisines. You will find everything in Thailand.
