17th edition of Dhaka Travel Mart 2020 postponed

The 17th edition of “US- Bangla Airlines Dhaka Travel Mart 2020,” scheduled to begin in Dhaka from March 12, was postponed amid growing coronavirus threat, organizers said in a press release yesterday.

The organisers announced that the 17th edition of the ‘US-Bangla Airlines Dhaka Travel Mart 2020’ which was scheduled to begin in Dhaka from March 12 has been postponed due to the coronavirus threat.

As the present situation was beyond  anybody’s control and since the health and safety of their valued participants, partners, visitors from home and abroad are of the topmost priority and they cannot take any risk.  Such a situation in the past was never encountered in the 17 years of history of DTM.

After the current situation improves a fresh date for holding the DTM-2020 would be announced soon.

In the upcoming travel and tourism fair close to a hundred participants from Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE, Oman, India and host Bangladesh had already registered for participation. A record number of visitors this year was expected.
