Viking cruise is celebrating the company’s 25-year completion in the industry. The Chairman of Viking Torstein Hagen has uploaded a video message that celebrates the founding of the company on August 5 1997.
The Chairman has expressed his gratitude to the customers who have chosen Viking till now. He also said that he is very proud of the company as they invented modern river voyages and ocean voyages with their destination-focused approach.
Throughout this week, Viking.TV daily has focused on Norwegian culture and history as a tribute to the Hagen family’s Norwegian heritage.
A couple of changes has been introduced from August 31 2022. Viking offers special service to international airfare on select ocean voyages. This is part of the Vikings’ 25th-year celebrations. Vikings have become one of the first cruise ships to be rated as number 1 for ocean travels.
Viking cruise is using this year to launch several cruises. In January, the company debuted Viking Expeditions and the first of two purpose-built expedition vessels, the Viking Octantis, which is currently sailing its inaugural season in the Great Lakes. After a couple of months in spring, the company welcomed eight new Viking Longships.
The newest same ship is Viking Mars. Vikings cruise is also introducing three new purpose-built vessels for the Mekong, Nile and Mississippi Rivers. Towards the end of the year, Viking will introduce a second identical expedition ship called Viking Polaris and another ocean ship called Viking Neptune.
Viking was founded in 1997. The company provides destination-focused journeys for rivers, oceans, and lakes around the world. The Viking cruise claims to offer services for curious travellers with interests in science, history, culture and cuisine, Chairman Torstein Hagen often says Viking offers experiences for the thinking Person.
