The mild tremors were felt in Indian metropolis Delhi-NCR on Wednesday afternoon as an earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Nepal.
The earthquake struck 69 km from Jumla in Nepal. According to the National Center of Seismology, the depth of the quake was 10 km and occurred at around 1.30 pm.
Nepal has been witnessing frequent earthquakes for the past few months. Earlier on January 24, a 5.8 magnitude intensity earthquake struck Nepal.
In November last year, the country witnessed a 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, killing at least six people in a house collapse incident in the Doti district on Wednesday. The tremors were felt in parts of the Delhi-NCR region as well.
