Canada will get its second AC Hotels in the summer of 2022.
The 208-room design-driven hotel will come up as part of the joint collaboration of Marriott International and Canada-based Rimap Hospitality. The hotel will be situated in the Byward Market neighbourhood and will be close to Parliament Hill and the University of Ottawa.
President of Rimap Hospitality, Marc Varadi, said that the lifestyle hotel will offer a refreshingly unique experience to guests arriving in Canada besides allowing guests to maximize their enjoyment and efficiency.
The hotel will feature modern guest rooms and public spaces designed with sleek furnishing, elegant art, open closet system and hardwood floors. There will be also an AC lounge, a communal space of creativity which will have a full bar serving local beers and hand-crafted cocktails. Guests will get a European-style breakfast in AC kitchen and a 24-hour wellness centre.
JW Marriott has recently opened a new property on Vagaru island of Maldives. Christened as JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa, the hotel has 60 villas including duplex overwater pool villas and single-storey overwater pool villas. The duplex pool villa has been designed for multi-generational families, with separate lounges, bedrooms and bathrooms.
AC Hotels by Marriott has over 150 properties in more than 20 countries. The hotel’s total portfolio encompasses over 7,200 hotels in 134 countries and territories.
The first AC Hotels in Canada was also opened by collaboration between Marriott International and Rimap Hospitality. The first AC Hotel in Montreal Downtown offers 169 guestrooms with hardwood floors, walk-in showers, floor-to-ceiling windows and 50-inch HDTVs.
