The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said that an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 shook parts of Batangas and Metro Manila on Tuesday,.
The quake struck off Nasugbu at 12:25pm(local time), reports CNN.
The center of the quake, which was tectonic in origin and has a depth of 123 kilometers, was located at 54 kilometers west of Nasugbu, Batangas.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in Quezon City, according to Phivolcs. The centre went on warn of possible aftershocks.
