A team from the Royal Commission for AlUla, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, had visited Petra with a mission to boost tourism cooperation between the two kingdoms.

Suliman Al-Farajat, Chairman, Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, informed the visitors on the initiations of authority to expand tourism and services in Petra, emphasizing an all-inclusive development process that the organization is looking for to conduct quickly.

The team toured the ancient stone-carved city. They learned at the “Petra by Night” program, a candle-light walk in the 1.2km Siq. It ended in front of the Treasury, besides the flying taxi and other recent projects.

The visitors highly praised the service quality that was offered by the PDTRA along with its initiations to uphold the world heritage site.

A PDTRA delegation, early 2022, visited the northwestern Saudi city, AlUla, to improve the relationship and exchange expertise.
