Adventure tourism in Kerala receive new energy

Targeted toward speeding up security of adventure tourism happenings in Ernakulam, stakeholders in
tourism have been asked to register online and take advantage from the certification procedure.


This certificate would be effective for two years. It would be allotted by a board including the chief
executive officer of Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS), Kerala Tourism Deputy
Director, DTPC Secretary, adventure tourism expert and an official from the Kerala Travel Mart Society.


Amongst significant labels presenting undertakings in adventure tourism in Ernakulam, Neptune Water Sports in Munambam beach shine bright. It has approval from Kerala Tourism for offering doings in dinghy sailing, surfing, kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing.


Mesh Manoharan from this company said that efforts have been made for such activities in Varkala and
Muzhipilangad beaches. There is substantial possibility to develop adventure tourism at the grassroots level in Kerala. It would also assist capitalists fund into this segment.


There have been occasions where many people have died in boat mishaps in Kerala. Among them, majority are youth and children. Receiving instructions in adventure tourism, encompassing water sports will help them in knowing swimming and conveying life- saving strategies. Beyond an amusement activity, it would be an important life-saving skill, said Manoharan.
