Aeroflot has extended the elite level status for members of its Aeroflot Bonus frequent flyer programme through the end of February 2022. The decision is aimed at rewarding the loyalty of Aeroflot frequent fliers who are forced to limit travel in the current environment and are therefore accumulating fewer Aeroflot Bonus miles.
“We greatly value our loyal customers and appreciate their trust and choice of Aeroflot. The current situation, which is beyond our control, is disrupting travel plans and preventing many passengers from accruing miles. With this in mind, we have decided to make a gift by extending elite status for Aeroflot Bonus members through the entirety of 2021,” said Aeroflot spokesperson Yulia Spivakova.
The Platinum level will be extended through the end of 2021 for current Platinum customers as well as members who had their status downgraded to Gold on 1 March 2020 following the results of 2019. Customers who have Gold and Silver level status expiring on 28 February 2021 will enjoy extension of their status for the same period.
Aeroflot Bonus is one of the largest loyalty programmes in the Russia and CIS region. Currently, the programme has more than 9 million participants. Members receive miles for flying Aeroflot, its subsidiaries Rossiya and Aurora, as well as SkyTeam alliance airlines. Participants also collect miles by purchasing products and services from partners of the Aeroflot Bonus programme. Miles can be used to purchase tickets, pay for upgrades in service class or receive numerous premium offers from programme partners.
