Sabre Corporation, a prominent travel technology firm globally, has secured its 100th Network Planning & Optimization agreement, with Air India Express marking this significant customer milestone.

As a part of Tata Enterprises and a subsidiary of Air India, Air India Express will utilize Sabre’s Schedule Manager and Slot Manager from its Network Planning & Optimization suite. This integration aims to enhance flight scheduling and improve slot management, allowing the airline to devise strategies that optimize revenue and meet passenger demand.

“A smart network planning strategy is vital for any airline no matter where they are in the world. But it’s especially critical in India right now where record plane orders, new carriers, new airports, and huge infrastructure investments are changing the shape of the aviation landscape,” said Rakesh Narayanan, Vice President, Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific, Travel Solutions Airline Sales. “This milestone underscores the trust airlines like Air India Express place in Sabre’s ability to deliver technology that optimizes their operations, reduces complexity, and drives better decision-making.”

“We’re thrilled to be such a milestone customer for Sabre’s advanced network planning technology,” said Dr. Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India Express. “As we continue to rapidly grow our capacity, which is nearly 100 aircrafts today, expand our footprint, and enhance our services, we’re confident Sabre’s best-in-class solutions will play a crucial role in helping us to achieve our goals.

Meanwhile, Slot Manager provides airlines with the tools to efficiently handle their slot applications and assignments. These technologies collectively assist Air India Express in operating flights that align closely with customer preferences. The airline currently operates over 2800 weekly flights, serving more than 200 routes and 54 destinations, including domestic locations, the Asia Pacific region, and the Middle East.
