Air India’s inflight entertainment system has earned the prestigious title of “Asia’s Leading Airline Inflight Entertainment 2024” at the World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony held in Manila. This marks the first time an Indian airline has received this accolade. The award recognizes the extensive Inflight Entertainment (IFE) content curated by Air India, available on the Airbus A350s currently operating on the Delhi-Heathrow route and soon to launch on flights to New York (JFK) in November.
The World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars of the travel industry,” celebrates excellence across global travel and tourism sectors. Now in its 31st year, the awards spotlight the best in the industry, and Air India joins a distinguished group of airlines that have previously won the honor.
Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, expressed the airline’s pride in receiving the award: “This award is a testament to our ongoing transformation into a world-class airline, with a focus on providing customers with the best inflight entertainment experience.”
Air India’s new IFE suite offers over 3000 hours of content across formats and genres, including 1400 hours of movies, 850 hours of TV, and 1000 hours of audio content. This service is featured on their Airbus A350s and will soon be available on the 64 new widebody aircraft on order, as well as on retrofitted older aircraft.
