AirbnbCorporate travellers to France are currently looking for online rental marketplace Airbnb as per a senior official on Thursday, at the company best known for hosting vacationers.

Airbnb for Business had been launched in the year 2015 for brands keen for fresh and cheaper ways to accommodate staff on business trips and also for Airbnb to keep up its rapid expansion. Corporate travel is growing faster as compared to leisure travel.

And corporate customers currently account for about 15% of rental nights booked on Airbnb.

The goal is to lift the ratio to 30% by 2020.

Jon Liebtag who is the head of business of Airbnb for the region of EMEA told a leading news media agency that they feel that there are quite lucrative prospects for the brand in business travel. Furthermore, France is quite a great target market in terms of luring corporate travellers via Airbnb.

They have also mentioned the importance of Britain and Germany too, in this regard.

Last year in France the number of stays booked on Airbnb by business tourists increased four-fold. With as many as 400,000 listings France is Airbnb’s second largest market after Paris and the United States.
