Akasa air, an ultra-low-cost Indian airline placed a $9 billion order with 72 Boeing 737 MAX last week. Analysts said it lifts up the country’s entire aviation segment, Judith Philip stresses out. The 32-year-old auditor’s work schedule is packed and her only retreat is travel. Philip pins her hopes on an upcoming single trip to Sri Lanka.

Philip said to the insiders from the Southern Indian city of Bengaluru that she might do a lot of revenge travel once these restrictions are lifted and things get a bit better. This shake-up stands to be a newly minted airline. Akasa becomes the most talked-about airline in the country ever since its public debut in July. On 16^th Nov. it placed a $9 billion order for 72 Boeing 737 MAX jets.

As per the industry analysts, the airline potentially lifts up the entire Indian aviation segment, which has grappled for multiple years. Akasa’s fleet stands to be particularly based in the Indian tech capital of Bangalore. Akasa is expected to reach less travelled destinations at less expensive fares.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, a billionaire investor nicknamed India’s Warren Buffett and Big Bull for his investments. The carrier aims to resurrect a turbulent domestic market in Asia’s third-largest economy.
