Cake mixing is one of the most celebrated traditions that marks the arrival of the Christmas festivities. Each year, Alila Diwa Goa, the 5 star Luxury Resort, celebrates this annual tradition with its entire staff and in house guests, to create their much loved and talked about Christmas Cake. This year, Team Alila Diwa Goa, got together to celebrate the age-old tradition of cake mixing and put together a flavourful cake mix lead by Head Chef Rohit Pushpavanam.
Alila Diwa Goa’s Cake Mixing ceremony saw the staff and guests of all ages gear up with aprons, gloves, whisks, spatulas and the most delectable ingredients, to prepare this year’s mix. A long table was set up that was laid out with dry fruits, golden apricots, dried berries, dates, tutti-frutti, nuts, figs, prunes and resins topped with warm spices and cinnamons, which filled the air of Alila Diwa Goa with their sweet aroma. As the ceremony began, each member added their personal touch as they put in the liquor-soaked ingredients to this delicious mix.
The delicious cake will be available to guests during Christmas. Speaking on this occasion, Head Chef Rohit Pushpavanam, Alila Diwa Goa, said that the Cake Mixing Ceremony has always been a part of Alila Diwa Goa’s tradition since its very inception. Each year all the chefs, Alila Staff and guests come together and lay out the cake mix with great enthusiasm. This hour-long activity is like one big celebration and gives all of us a chance to bond with our guests. It also gives guests a glimpse into a different culture and makes for a surprisingly different experience
The anticipation which surrounds the cake mixing ceremony also brings out the cross-cultural love which people share for each other. It brings people together, gives a chance to bond and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas.
