All tourist spots to shut down in Andaman

The District Magistrate of South Andaman has ordered all tourist spots to shut down for tourism activities with immediate effect.

Among other measures for restricting the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious and festivals related and other gatherings and congregations have been prohibited.

All religious places/ places of worship have also been ordered to shut down for public worship. Any sort of religious congregations/gatherings are now strictly banned. Other than these, all parks, playgrounds, stadiums, gyms and yoga institutes have also been ordered to be closed with immediate effect.
