American Airlines makes emergency landing after cabin fills with smoke

Published on : Saturday, October 28, 2017

American AirlinesA flight of American Airlines was compelled to make an abrupt emergency landing after the cabin was filled with thick dark smoke.

A really shocking footage that had been captured on the American Airlines flight portrays passengers coughing a lot while smoke swirled up on the ceiling of the airplane. The airplane had been travelling between Birmingham, Alabama and Dallas, and Texas on Tuesday when the mid-air emergency occurred.

Smoke began filing the cabin within a few minutes of take off of the aircraft, thereby making pilots turn back and land straight away.

American Airlines Flight 5723 that was being operated by regional carrier US Airways Express had 79 travellers and four crew members on board the flight.

No injuries have been reported .

The plane was a twin-engine Bombardier CRJ-900.

The current incident’s model is slightly similar to the one in which an aircraft had confronted with a dramatic engine fire after it touched down at Denver International Airport in Colorado in July.

Firefighters started filming the incident after extinguishing the blaze and passengers started panicking while they were retreating on the tarmac.
