A Jewish family has accused American Airlines flight after they were alleged for body odour and were thrown off.
On 23 January, Yossi and Jennie were returning from holiday and their 19-month-old daughter were due to fly from Miami to Detroit. However, after they boarded the flight they were asked to leave the crew and not permitted to come back.
Other passengers complained the staff of their body odour . Yossi said that he needed to go home , there was no body odour on him and there was nothing wrong with them.
An altercation with ground staff was filmed by the Adlers after they were thrown off the flight.
The video footage showed the male staff member saying that for religious reasons they don’t shower. Yossi was heard responding off camera that he took shower every day and said that they kicked them off on religious ground.
The crews assured that their bags would be removed from the flight but they were not and the couples were without pushchair, car seat and anything apart from the clothes they wore.
Jennie went on saying that she had to stop several people in the airport which was embarrassing but they she asked that did they smell as they were kicked off the plane.
Further, they were rebooked onto a flight the next day.
American Airlines commented on the entire statement that Mr Adler and his wife were removed from the flight when several passengers complained about their body odour. They have been booked into a hotel for the night and given meal vouchers. They have been rebooked on a flight Thursday.
As per the company mandates staffs had the permission of removing passengers from a flight if they had an ‘offensive odour not caused by disability or illness.
The Jewish family could reunite with their luggage and were flown home.
