ANA HONOLULU MUSIC WEEK is an exciting, three-day event that brings together local musicians from Hawaii and global artists to share music from their respective cultures and strengthen bonds between the performers and attendees.
“ANA has contributed to several community service initiatives in Hawaii, such as beach cleanups, green transportation, reforestation initiatives and we hope the ANA HONOLULU MUSIC WEEK will benefit the local community,” said Takashi Shiki, Senior Executive Vice President of ANA. “We want to bring global artists and musicians from Hawaii and Japan together to create an event that helps people connect and share diverse, cultural experiences.”
The event features performances from several Hawaiian music legends, including: Robert Cazimero, a Grammy-nominated musician who has won more than 40 Na Hoku Hanohano awards; Kalapana, one of the biggest names in Hawaiian contemporary music; and Danny Kalekini, an ambassador of aloha, who has delighted audiences from around the world for more than 50 years and performed with Paul Anka, Dolly Parton, Sammy Davis Jr. and Don Ho, among others.
International artists and groups slated to perform include: Ryoko Moriyama, a folk singer from Japan; Kiyotaka Sugiyama, a pop artist from Japan; Ryu Goto, a Japanese-American concert violinist from New York, NY; and Engelbert Humperdinck, an English pop singer from the United Kingdom.
Performances throughout the three-day event will span nine stages from Downtown Honolulu to Waikiki:
Starting Sept. 1, 2019, ANA will promote the event with a 30-second commercial that will be shown on all ANA flights to and from Hawaii.
ANA HONOLULU MUSIC WEEK is a continuation of ANA’s efforts to create positive experiences for travelers around the globe and help showcase the treasures of Hawaii to a wider audience.
