Anamika Tewari, Deputy Secretary tourism, Assam shares a hearty exclusive interview with Travel And Tour World at ITB Berlin 2017. She shared how special this state is.
This northeastern state of India has abundance of beauty and is the only state, which has the one-horn rhino along with the other wildlife varieties. She welcomed everyone in Awesome Assam to enjoy the pristine nature. The interesting fact about this state is that the animals can be seen in their locale habitat. The Kaziranga is a world heritage site and the elephant safaris take tourists around the National Park to see the one horn rhino.
Manas National Park is yet another World Heritage site which promotes ecotourism. The three to five days trip on mighty river Brahmaputra on river cruise takes one to all the parts of Assam.
Added to it are the tea tourism, golf tourism, religious tourism at Kamakhya Temple which brings tourists from all across the country.
There is an elaborate process to experience the tea tourism. the state is collaborating with the tea-manager bungalows where the tourists can stay and feel the charm of the British era in the tea garden. Travellers can then go around the tea factories and see the live demonstration of how tea is made and packaged.
