Anantara Hotels Heralds a French Debut with the Opening of Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas welcomes a landmark step in the continued growth of Anantara in Europe with the addition of a grand dame property in the South of France, the newly opened Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel.

Situated in a rejuvenated 19th century architectural jewel originally built in 1848 on Nice’s boardwalk, Anantara Plaza Nice marks a triumphant return of one of the most storied hotels on the Côte d’Azur.

Blending old-world elegance with contemporary luxuries, the hotel has undergone a two-year restoration to its Belle Époque era glory. This heritage gem is located at the entrance to Nice’s Golden Square and overlooks Albert 1er gardens and the Promenade des Anglais – the most famous stretch of seafront in Nice.

Reopening with 151 rooms including 38 suites, many with sea-facing terraces and balconies, the remarkable 175-year-old building also features a new Anantara Spa, multiple events spaces, as well as a stylish rooftop restaurant and bar with a 360-degree panoramic view of the Baie des Anges and Nice’s Old Town.
